Tandoori Pomfret Recipe -
Pomfrets marinated in curd and grilled till golden brown.
4 pomfrets (300g each)
4 tbsp lemon juice
4 tbsp oil / butter
salt to test
For the marinade
1 1/2 (360 ml ) curd
2 eggs
1 tsp red chilli powder
2 tbsp ginger past
2 tbsp garlic past
1 tsp caraway (ajwain seed)
4 tbsp gram flour
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp garam masala powder
How to make tandoori pomfret
Method
1.Wash and clean the pomfrets. Make incisions and apply salt and lemon juice. Keep a side for 20 minutes.
2.Mix all the ingredients for the marinade and apply the past to the pomfret fish and let it stand for about one hour in the refrigeator.
3.Skewer the fish and cook in a moderately hot tandoor or pre-heated oven (180' C) for about 10-15 minutes.Best with butter and cook in tandoor/oven for another three minutes. Grill the fish till it's golden brown.
Serve hot with lemon wedges.
